There's not much that would get me out of bed at 5:30 AM, but one thing that did was getting up to go to several Mennonite/Amish garage sales in Amish country this morning. It was definitely worth it. I got these flannel 3" quilt squares for $2.00. There are approximately 500 of them. I also got brand new rolls of Coats and Clark thread for 50 cents each.
AND, in addition to that, I got this big bag of quilt scraps for $1.
Yesterday I went to a Mennonite barn sale here in Berks County, and had a good time too. I got this 12 1/2 inch Omnigrid Rule/Template for $2. Right now, it retails at JoAnns for $23.99.

Burkholders Fabric
Yesterday, to celebrate my birthday, we went to Burkholders Fabric store in Denver, PA. I hadn't been there in well over a year. Oh it was *sew* nice. It was a great treat for my birthday!!
I bought a couple of pieces of fabric for new doggie bandanas for Wags to Wishes. Their selection is incredible -- cotton quilting prints of everything imaginable -- from onion rings to doggie facebook to autism awareness.
The City at Sunset
Three years ago last night, Kurt took me to the Pagoda on the mountain and proposed to me. Last night, we went back to the Pagoda to enjoy the view and memories. It was beautiful, although a little hazy for photographing.

Birthday Party Success
This past Sunday was Timothy's 10th birthday. It was his first real birthday party. He invited his friends from his social skills therapy group and from church. Most of them came. It was a Mario-themed party. I spent the week before making party favors and decorations - including all those little stuffed/beanie stars you can see in the picture. They were a big hit. The kids loved them!
Timothy had a wonderful time. I know he will never forget this party.
They played Pin the Mustache on the Mario.
Made their own mini-pizzas.
Played Mario Bingo.
I found these printable Mario bingo cards online. They were great!
And we even found a way to do a Pinata - outside in a very wet and cold yard. Timothy has already been talking about all the wants to do at his party next year, and I'm wondering if a year is long enough to recover from all the preparations of this year. :-)

Doggie Poop Bag Holder
I hate having to carry a plastic grocery bag when taking Skylar for a walk. It looks so tacky. So.... I came up with a solution. I made this adorable holder for plastic poop bags that hooks onto the leash. It's my latest listing at Wags To Wishes.

Doggie Treat Pouch
Last night, I made this doggie treat pouch. It has a loop on the back so it can attach to your belt, so your doggie treats are always handy.

Amish Circle Letters
As I have mentioned before, I love to read Amish fiction books. Since getting my Nook for Christmas, I have read probably 15 different Amish fiction books. I have just begun a series by Sarah Price called Amish Circle Letters. The ebooks are only 99 cents at Barnes and Noble.
